Flower Fairies by Cicely Mary Barker - Wallflower Fairy

Wallflower, Wallflower, up on the wall,
Who sowed your seed there?
     No one at all:
Long, long ago it was blown by the breeze
To the crannies of the walls
   where I live as I please.

"Garden walls, castle walls, mossy and old,
These are my dwellings
from these I behold
The change of years;
yet, each spring that goes by,
Unchanged in my sweet smelling  velvet am I"

Wallflower (Erysimum 'Orange Flame')

Mostly frost hardy, they do best in well-drained, fertile soil in an open, sunny position. Cut back perennials after flowering so only a few leaves remain on each stem. Propagate from seed in spring or cuttings in summer.  Older varieties are sweetly scented, while new types have no fragrance but bloom well over a long season.
